Biography

2018 League of Women Voters' Guide

Question 1: What town wide issue affects your precinct the most and how would you address it?
Question 2: Biographical data.

1. A town-wide issue affecting all precincts, including Precinct 12, is the dramatic increase in our student enrollment which has resulted in overcrowded schools and has put a tremendous strain on our operating and capital budgets. For this reason, I am actively supporting the 2018 Override Campaign and urge all Brookline voters to vote YES on both ballot questions in order to pay for (1) critical Town/School services and programs, as well as infrastructure maintenance (buildings and equipment), and (2) the muchneeded renovation and expansion of Brookline High School.

2. Brookline resident and homeowner since 1985; community-based mediator (retired attorney); Town Meeting Member since 1994; member of Brookline School Committee from 2000-2012 (Chair, 2006-2008); Co-Chair of 2008 YES for Brookline Override Campaign; married to Mark Pasternack; two children, both graduates of Runkle School and BHS; three grandchildren.
