Question 1: What are the one or two most critical issues in your precinct and/or the Town and how would you address them? Question 2: Biographical data. |
1. Sustainability is among the most critical issues humanity faces. In Brookline, we recently have made progress to increase recycling and reduce plastic waste. More is needed - especially better planning of public facilities, private development, and infrastructure to reduce car dependency (traffic!) and carbon footprint. Other key issues Brookline faces include racial justice/inclusion, and the need for smart school capacity increases that fully address current overcrowding while maintaining our walkable, neighborhood schools. 2. I am a widowed dad of two Heath School kids (3rd grade and kindergarten), and a neighbor of the school. I am a volunteer soccer and baseball coach. I served on the Baldwin School Building Committee and have since been helping the School Department to improve its student enrollment forecasting. I have presented twice to Town Meeting on school capacity needs and potential solutions. Professionally, I am a data-driven health care lawyer; politically, a pragmatic progressive.
