Question 1: What are the one or two most critical issues in your precinct and/or the Town and how would you address them? Question 2: Biographical data. |
1. (1) Siting of the ninth school is a contentious issue in our precinct, with strongly held opposing views regarding the chosen site. An appropriate resolution will require that we listen to each other and respond in a civil manner. (2) Tension between growth and livability of our neighborhoods continues. The possibility of the purchase Newbury College may provide needed Town-owned space to pursue not only issues related to siting of schools but also other uses, such as a home for early childhood education facilities, possible housing and open space usage. We need to pursue all that makes our town a wonderful place to live without making it a place that only the wealty can afford. 2. Retired Ob/gyn; member, Commission for Diversity, Inclusion and Community Relations; Board member, Brookline Sister City Project, Brookline PAX, Greaeter Boston Physicians for Social Responsibility; member Indigenous People's Day Committee; children graduated from Brookline Schools |
