1. Brookline needs to maintain its excellent school system in the face of an ever-expanding student population, which has increased 40% since 2006. I am actively supporting the Yes campaign for Question One to provide funding to renovate Driscoll and build Baldwin. It is crucial that our students and teachers have the space and tools they need to succeed. Another challenge is creating responsible development, which will provide affordable housing. We must ensure that those who serve our community have the option to live in our community and that current Brookline residents are not priced out. 2. I am a US government and history teacher. I have a B.A. from Emory University and a PhD in history from Boston College. I have a daughter who is a first-grader at Baker and a four-year old son. My husband and I moved to Brookline in 2014 to raise our family. Brookline Pax endorsed. |
