Question 1: What are the one or two most critical issues in your precinct and/or the Town and how would you address them? Question 2: Biographical data. |
1. I want to make sure that the voices of citizens of Precinct 9 are heard at Town Meeting. I will be visible; I will listen carefully; and I will represent their voices. That is mainly about local issues and our public services. I also believe that the Town of Brookline has a role and responsibility in the state and national conversations on politics and policy. We should, for example, support a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United, a Supreme Court decision which has seriously undermined our democracy. 2. Brookline homeowner since 1978; two children who attended and graduated from the Brookline Public Schools; Brookline Youth Baseball coach; forty-four years as a teacher, elementary and high school principal (19 years as headmaster of Brookline High); eight years as a professor of educational leadership at Teachers College and Boston University; program director of educational leadership at BU/Wheelock |
